Ever wondered why we (or anyone) does website design and website development? Are we just code junkies, enamored with technology and all things web? While there may be some truth to that, the answer goes much deeper…
It’s about relationships! That’s what makes websites so powerful and so important. Simply put, the internet is about real people with real stories talking to other real people with different real stories. The power of any website lies in helping to build relationships, not just in flashier marketing information.
To the extent that a website can help a real person connect quicker, easier with another real person, then that web-site will be used. On the other hand, web-sites that are merely glorified on-line brochures will quickly become unused.
Back in 1999, a few pioneers wrote a book called The Cluetrain Manifesto. In this book, they wrote their own “95 Theses”. The first one was simply: “Markets are Conversations.”
That’s the power of the web - markets are now conversations. Real human beings can connect with the real humans behind that huge company. Conversations are happening, thanks to the internet.
And, that’s why we do what we do! We want to help companies and individuals have real conversations. We want to make it easier for real people to find you, to find your companies, and to have these conversations.
